Thailand to donate $75,000

Ambassador of Royal Thai Embassy Marut Jitpatima has said that Thai government would give $75000 cash to Pakistani government for flood victims and $50000 has already been given to Red Crescent Pakistan as emergency relief. He was talking to reporters here at Army Relief Camp at Fortress Stadium on Saturday. Thai ambassador also handover three trucks of relief goods for flood affectees including flour bags, mineral water and life saving drugs.
Brigadier Muhammad Iftikhar Commander Logistic Lahore Corps received the relief goods. Wife of Thai ambassador, Mian Muhammad Iqbal Chief Executive Malee Foods, Zaib UL Nisa and others were also present. Thai ambassador Marut Jitpatima said that Thai King and Prime Minister also sent condolence messages to prime minister of Pakistan.
He said people and government of Thailand would send rice, tents and other needs for Pakistani flood victims. Thai envoy said that he delivered three trucks for relief goods donated by Malee products and this contribution would continue in future. Brigadier Muhammad Iftikhar Commander Logistic thanked Mian Muhammad Iqbal and said this aid would be distributed in flood-affected areas.
