Relief goods from Bahrain arrive

A special plane carrying 50,000 tonnes of cargo containing aid for flood victims arrived here on Saturday from Bahrain at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport. The consignment was handed over by Lieutenant General Commander of National Guard of Bahrain Shaikh Mohammed Bin Essa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa to Corps Cdr. Karachi Lieutenant General Shahid Iqbal.
Ambassador of Bahrain Mohammed Ibrahim Abdul Qadir and Consul General in Karachi Adel Abdul Rehman Mohammed Taqi were also present on the occasion. The aid contained medicines, food and other miscellaneous items for flood affectees. The second consignment of relief goods on behalf of government of Bahrain will arrive here on Monday.
