OGDCL to distribute 225 tons of dry rations

Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) will distribute 225 tons of dry rations among 7,500 families for 15 days at the cost of Rs 19.95 million. The amount has been paid to MD Utility Store Head Office, Islamabad. Earlier OGDCL had contributed Rs 200 million to Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund, which is the highest amount donated by any public sector organisation so far. OGDCL will spend another Rs 100 million for relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
Muhammad Naeem Malik, Managing Director/CEO OGDCL constituted a Social Welfare Council under instructions of OGDCL's Board of Directors to supervise flood relief activities in transparent manners. The Social Welfare Council of OGDCL is being headed by Aftab Ahmad, Executive Director (SBP). The Council meets every day and evolve strategy and system to make the flood relief activities efficient and transparent.
The ration will be distributed in Qadirpur, Tando Alam , Ghotki in Sindh and in Uch, Subhatpur, Dear Allah Yar and Jhal Magsi in Balochistan while in Province at Kot Adu and Muzaffargarh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Shakardarra and Gombot. The ration kit will included flour, Ghee, Oil, Tea, Sugar, Chilies, dates salt, washing soap, rice, milk powder, pulses, pickles etc.-PR
