Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kha1id Rahman and other senior officers of the company recently visited flood-affected areas to oversee the company's relief efforts and distributed dry food packages among the affectees.
PPL Board on August 16 approved an amount of Rs 100 million for flood affectees that will be spent in two phases. In the first phase, the company has donated Rs 20 million to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund (PMRF) and an additional Rs 30 million in the form of relief goods.
PPL staff and workers have also contributed one day's salary amounting to Rs 6.3 million to the PMRF. To date, the company has dispatched 27 consignments, comprising over 10,000 dry food packages and about 300 tents to Quetta, Kandhkot, Sibi, Barkhari, Sui, Chachar, Shahdadkot and Karampur.-PR
