Country passing through most critical juncture: Punjab University vice chancellor

Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has stated that the country is passing through the most critical juncture of its history. It is prime responsibility of our countrymen to observe utmost simplicity in celebrating forthcoming Eid-ul-Fiter and spare no efforts in extending maximum relief and succour to flood affectees because service to grief-stricken fellow beings is the greatest noble deed in the eyes of the Almighty Allah.
These views were expressed by him, while seeing off varsity faculty and medical staff as well as volunteer students along with two trucks of relief goods and an ambulance for the assistance of flood affected people of Ranjanpur district. The relief team was headed by varsity flood relief committee chairman Professor Dr Kh. Haris Rashid, Secretary Khalid Khan while an ambulance and para-medical staff was led by Dr Kamran.
Advisor Student affairs Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry, Professor Dr Abdul Ghaffar and Resident Officer-I Professor Javed Sami were also present. The Vice-Chancellor said the Punjab University faculty and students had also demonstrated exemplary sense of patriotism and sacrifice during past national emergencies by raising funds and setting up relief camps for the affectees.
