UN to extend relief programme to three to six months: official

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday said Pakistan has been witnessing the worst flooding of its history as the situation has wreaked havoc in the country. Talking to a delegation of United Nations headed by UN resident co-ordinator in Pakistan, Shahbaz thanked the world body for extending aid to the people of Pakistan affected by floods.
The CM said government of Punjab is tapping all available resources for relief and rehabilitation of the affected areas. He said farmers would be provided with free of cost seeds and fertilisers to help them overcome damages, adding government would support them in this critical situation.
