Fairplay Flood Relief Football: Model Town, Raiders earn semi-final berth

Model Town Football Club and Raiders Football Club earned passage into the semi-finals of Fair Play Flood Relief Fund Football Tournament 2010. Both the matches were tight finish with Model Town beating St. Michael 1-0 and Raiders imposed 2-0 win over Manga Mandi's Quaid Football Club.
Sadaqat Ali-led MTFC carried their 16th minute goal until final whistle to knockout Bihar Colony's St. Michael FC 1-0. Midfielder Rao Ahmed slotted home the lone goal with perfect header after Kaleem Khan swept the ball across the area from left wing. The winner's keeper Ali Yakota had a fine night as keeper, as he brought off four brilliant save to keep MTFC alive.
The star performer for Faisal Town's Raiders FC was opportunist striker Abdul Razzaq who netted once in each half, leaving Quaid's keeper Basit stranded. Razzak recorded his goals in the 7th and 63rd minute. Referees Shams Pervez, Afzal Bari supervised the matches under Match Commissioner Chaudhry Asghar and Referee Assessor Naseem uddin.
