Five persons were killed and four others injured when furious fighting erupted between two Afghans groups in Dargai Refugees Camp on petty dispute, police said here on Sunday. The fighting between two groups erupted because of petty dispute on Saturday and both the groups started indiscriminate firing on each other, killing five people on the spot while four persons suffered injuries.
An injured arrested by the police was shifted to Peshawar for treatment. The bodies of two brothers among deceased were recovered from a nearby canal, police said. They informed that some days back Ibrahim Khan, Ghafar Khan, and Suleman had exchanged hot words with Zahid Khan, Masteri Khan and Adil Khan in which Suleman got axe injuries.
The injuries of Suleman leads to firing between two groups as a result of which two brothers Zahid Khan and Mastri Khan s/o Zahir Khan including three others Ghulam Hazrat s/o Khawndal Khan, Shereen Agha s/o Saeed Hussain and Zia died on the spot.
During the gun-battle four persons including Mastri Khan, Ghulam Hazrat, Shereen Agha and Zia slipped to nearby canal due to firing whose bodies were later recovered by the police.
The injured Ibrhaim s/o Saifullah, Simat Zia Uddin s/o of Wali, Rohullah s/o Muhammad Nabi and Gul Lala s/o Abdullah were rushed to hospital.
A case has been registered and Malakand Lives Police Station Dargai have also arrested one Ibrhaim, who was charged under 302/324/114, was shifted to Peshawar for further investigation.
