Altaf urges Army to bring revolution

06 Sep, 2010

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain once again urged Pakistan Army to help bring 'revolution' in the country, saying "patriotic army generals" are those who would open fire on corrupt politicians and not on the innocent citizens of Pakistan. He was addressing the annual Eid gift distribution ceremony of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation held here at Jinnah ground, Azizabad on Sunday.
He said army bullets should be fired on the corrupt leaders and those who have plundered and looted the national wealth. Altaf said if the people of Pakistan, particularly the youth are prepared for a revolution and respond positively to his call then he would be ready to physically join them. "Then I will request MQM Rabita Committee to allow me to come to Pakistan so that I could join the people for brining the revolution," he added.
He asked the army generals and jawans to take action against the corrupt political leaders and feudal lords.
Altaf said these army generals should take action against corrupt people and all such corrupt elements be hanged publicly. Referring to Army and ISI, Altaf said he wanted to see these agencies to use their influence and power against corrupt politicians and plunderers and not for safeguarding the interests of powerful people.
