NHMP finalises traffic and security plan for Eid

National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) N-5 North Zone has finalised traffic and security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr. According to details, DIG N-5 North Zone Abbas Hussain Malick said that N-5 North zone has finalised traffic and security plane for the security of the road users and free flow of traffic during Eid holidays.
He said that majority of the people use GT Road N-5 North Zone during Eid Holidays along with valuables. In this regard a plan has been devised in which extra patrolling mobiles will patrol and monitor the traffic flow. Movie making of the passengers on all the toll plazas of N-5 North Zone will be ensured and extra photographers will be deputed.
The purpose of movie making is to save the passengers from dacoits and swindlers. In this regard directions have been passed to all sectors commanders. Sectors' commanders have also been directed to liaise with local police for joint patrolling. He said that all DSP's will remain on patrolling and will keep vigilant eye on the traffic movement. List of the telephone and emergency numbers of all the offices of N-5 North Zone from Peshawar to Lahore GT road have been provided to all bus terminals to contact in emergency.
The DIG said that the co-operation of the owners of bus terminals and transport associations in this regard is also required. In this regard, Mobil education unit visited the bus terminals and met with the owners of terminals and the members of transport associations. Owners and transport associations have been requested to arrange and depute security guards from bus terminals till the end of journey during Eid holidays. Moreover they have been directed to search the passengers thoroughly before journey and avoid picking the passengers at places other than bus terminals. DIG said that NH&MP N-5 North zone will try its level best to ensure the free flow of traffic during Eid days.
