Chief minister Punjab receives cheques for Rs 120 million

Public representatives, traders and people from different walks of life met with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at Chief Minister's Secretariat on Wednesday and presented him cheques of Rs 120 million.
Begum Majeeda Wyne presented a cheque of Rs 11,50,000, Members Provincial Assembly, Mehar Fayyaz Rs 2 million and one-month salary, Malik Tanvir Aslam Saiti Rs 1 million, Ali Asghar Munda Rs 1 million, Jalaluddin Dhaku Rs 500,000, Members National Assembly, Sheikh Rohail Asghar Rs 700,500, Rana Hayat Rs 5,00,000, former MNA Rai Mansab Ali Rs 5,00,000, mother of Asad Ashraf Rs 220,000, Seth Javed Rs 500,000, Chaudhry Tanvir Rs 300,000, Haji Nasir Mehmood Rs 500,000, Kh. Azhar Gulshan Rs 1.5 million on behalf of Anjuman Tajran while Rs 1 million on his own behalf and Mubashar Ali presented a cheque of Rs 500,000.
The chief minister while praising the spirit of donors, said that helping the flood affected people is our national responsibility. The prime minister said that the government alone could not deal with the big challenge of rehabilitation of affected people, therefore, all segments of the society will have to take part in the relief and rehabilitation of flood-hit people.
