Dasho Bap Kesang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan in Dhaka, presented a bank draft of $107,000 to Pakistan's High Commissioner Ashraf Qureshi on Tuesday, as relief assisstance for the flood victims. He conveyed deepest condolences and sympathies to the people and Government of Pakistan from the Bhutanese King and the Prime Minister on loss of valuable lives and properties by the natural calamity.
The High Commissioner requested Ambassador Kesang to convey the gratitude of the Government and the people of Pakistan to the King and the Prime Minister of Bhutan. Bhutan is a small country of about 700,000 people in the foothill of Himalaya region within South Asia with lot of goodwill for the people of Pakistan. Bhutan actively supported the cause of Pakistani flood victims last month by expressing solidarity with them at the United Nations.
