Hamdard Public School celebrates Independence Day

Hamdard Public School organised a flag hoisting ceremony on 6th September 2010 (26th Ramazan 1431) at Bilawal Stadium, Madinat al Hikmah to celebrate Independence Day of Pakistan, according to the Islamic calendar which falls on 27 of Ramazan every year. The flag-hosting ceremony, comprised recitation of holy verses, Naat, flag hoisting, national songs, tableaus and speeches.
Speaking on the occasion, after hoisting the national flag, the chief guest and Senior Vice President, Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Aleem Adil Sheikh said had Allama Iabal, Agha Khan and Quaid-i-Azam thought respectively in term of Punjabi, Ismaili and Sindhi Pakistan would have not come into being. But they thought for all Muslims of subcontinent irrespective of their languages, fiqha and ethnic identity, he added.
He said, Pakistan was created to take place of Ottoman caliphate, which was abolished, and to unite all Muslims so that they could united fight against oppressive powers. To divide Muslims, thinking of separation on the basis of language, region and ethnicity was created among the Muslims Hakim Said was against this thinking and he was preaching "Pakistaniate" in the country so he was murdered by those forces which did want to see Muslims united, he said adding: "The nation is in dire need that more Hakim Saids and more Sadia Rashids should be born in the nation".-PR
