Foolproof security arrangements on Eid directed

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed that foolproof security arrangements should be made on Jumatul-Mubarak and Eid-ul-Fitr and police should remain fully alert for the protection of the lives and properties of the people and maintenance of a peaceful atmosphere in the province. He said that a flag march of elite force and local police should be arranged in the major cities.
He said that additional police force should be deployed at all important shopping centres, Eidgahs, Imam Bargahs as well as recreational spots while police patrolling should be further intensified. He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding security arrangements on Juma-tul-Mubarak and Eid-ul-Fitr at Chief Minister's Secretariat, here on Thursday. Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Advisor Jahanzeb Burki, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Inspector General Police, Addl IG, CID and Special Branch, Commissioner Lahore Division, Capital City Police Officer Lahore and senior officers concerned were present.
