On the directions of Dr Wasim Kausar Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central observed public friendly soft policing campaign through out the zone on national highways in order to maintain the standards of efficiency and professionalism and to augment the notion of soft policing especially on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Small packets of sweets and biscuit imprinted with road safety slogans distributed on all toll plazas among the commuters travelling on road. The road safety stalls set up at prominent points on highways. During the campaign Zonal Commander and SSPs including the IGP visited and monitored traffic discipline on highways. In the campaign Dr Wasim Kausar, Inspector General and DIG Syed Ibne Hussain visited the national highways and inspected the different Toll Plaza.
During the campaign the IG himself briefed the road users on national highways and motorways and distributed the gift packs among children who were travelling. During his visit the IG directed the patrolling officers to present highly sophisticated behaviour and graciousness with the violators and executes their duties with keenness and allegiance.
He further advised them to reinforce this aspect to promote a culture of soft but firm policing in Pakistan. During this occasion he stopped at various points to inspect the public dealing at time of enforcing the law and extending the help to distress road users by the NH&MP patrolling officers. He advised the officers and said that they must receive the violators with smile and felicitation and execute his responsibilities as per law with politeness and respect.
He expressed his vision to take NH&MP to new horizon of excellence. Dr Wasim Kauser elaborated his vision and said that soft image which the NH&MP has earned is because of politeness, sincerity and selflessness as it inculcate a sense of responsibility among the commuters.
