TDAP to participate in two international fairs in Russia

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will participate two international fairs in Russia to promote the country export items mainly textile, rice fruit and vegetables, this month. The two different fairs would be held in Moscow from September 14 to 17 where a number of Pakistani companies would display their products.
According to official sources in TDAP, the authority for the first time was participating the four days "World Food", Moscow, which was the one of the world's leading food fair. Almost 11 companies selected by TDAP would display a wide range of food products, which include rice, fruits and vegetables, processed food etc.
As Russian market offers tremendous potential for promotion of exports of our food products it was hoped that participation in this event would go a long way in furthering our exports to the foreign country. During the last two years, exports of our food products to Russia have shown a significant increase.
According to the sources the another fair "Heimtextile", Russia, being held from September 14 to 16, 2010 at Moscow was also being participated by the authority as it was one of the premier textile fair in the foreign country. Almost five prominent Pakistani companies were selected by TDAP to attend the event where a wide range of home textile products would be displayed.
The country's textile products have also high demand in Russian market while the export promotional activities in Moscow would further boost the export. It is to mention here that during the last two years, exports of our textile products to Russia have registered an increasing trend.
