Mobile phone jammers being installed in Balochistan jails

The provincial government has sanctioned six million rupees for installation of mobile phone jammers in Balochistan's prisons. Sources said on Monday that on first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, a prisoner identified as Abdullah was killed and another identified as Ghous Bakhsh injured when an explosive devise placed besides wall of barrack of prisoners went off in Mach Jail.
Later, on the directives of Home Department, a search operation was carried out in the prison and two hand grenades, weapons and 100 cell phones were recovered from the inmates. The government has decided to install mobile phone jammers inside jails to check the menace.
