Mixed trend on grain market

Most of the items tended lower on the wholesale grain and seed market on Thursday as supply position improved after Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, dealers said. On the grams side prices moved both ways as guwar Sindh rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3900-4000, Guwar Punjab followed same pattern, gaining Rs 100 to Rs 3800-3900 in thin business.
Gram Australian, however, dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 5150-5350, gram 50x50 was up by Rs 50 to Rs 5500-5700. Yellow peas Canada fell sharply by Rs 900 to Rs 3100-3250, yellow peas dal also shed Rs 850 to Rs 3500-3650 in process of trading. Bajra low type followed the same pattern and was down by 100 to Rs 2700, while the best type did not move any side due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh was lower by Rs 10 to Rs 1160-1190, other items held the overnight levels, they said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new both types was quoted at Rs 2615 and Rs 2630. Gur inferior type shed Rs 100 to Rs 7400 while the good type maintained overnight levels, they said.
