China's leading telecommunication company, Huawei Technologies, has donated an amount of RMB 100,000 (US $8,000 approx.) for Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund 2010. The documents, in this regard, were handed over by Senior Vice President of Huawei Technologies, Zhang Chunxiang to Pakistan Ambassador to China, Masood Khan at Pakistan Embassy, here on Friday.
Zhang Chunxiang, who has also served as China's Ambassador to Pakistan and Afghanistan, on the occasion expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property by floodwater and said that Huawei Technologies considers it an obligation to provide support to the people of Pakistan in their hour of need.
Reciprocating, Masood Khan thanked Chinese government and people for the support being given to the flood affectees both in the form of cash and kind. He particularly appreciated the medical relief services provided by the two medical teams sent by China. One of these teams, which returned to Pakistan after spending nearly three weeks there, treated 11400 patients.-PR
