Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) chief Chaudhri Shujaat Hussain has said that government is involved in inundating of Thatta. Talking to media at Makli, here on Saturday, he said a breach was made in MS embankment at Kot Almo to inundate Sajawal, from where one MNA and two MPAs of PML-Q were elected. He said the door of corruption has been opened wide now by the present rulers.
He said we summoned an all parties' conference and demanded a 'political cease-fire' for six months to divert all attention to the flood-hit people but the government should no interest. Mushahid Hussain, Secretary General PLM-Q, said when country was encircled by the floods, the president of country was visiting foreign countries. He said that the rulers were afraid of the shoes of flood affectees, for this reason they cannot face them.
He said Rs 8 million have been allocated for the food of the affected people on daily basis but only 10 percent of this amount is being actually spent on their food, while the rest of the money goes in the pocket of corrupt people. He demanded a judicial probe into breaches on embankments and audit of relief funds. He said they have visited the flood-hit areas, where no government machinery was found. He said Sindh card and Pakhtoon card of rulers have already been inundated in the flood.
