University College for Boys inaugurated

University College for boys was inaugurated at Agha Auditorium, University of Peshawar, following resumption of classes on the same day. The college was formally inaugurated by Dean, Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences Dr Farrukh Hussain, while Acting Registrar Dr Fazl-i-Hadi, Dean, Faculty of Numerical and Physical Sciences Dr Riaz, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities Dr Farooq Swati were also present on the occasion.
Principal of the University of Peshawar (UoP) Boys' College, Professor Ishaq welcomed the first batch of students and said that being the first year batch of this college is a great responsibility on you because you are admitted in an institution which believes in second to none.
He urged the students to take full interest in their studies so that they can come up to the expectations of their parents and University of Peshawar. He assured the parents that he as head of the institution would make sure to bring best result out of the students. There would be no compromise on discipline and strong check would be applied on students to attain it, he added. The chief guest, Professor Farrukh, said "We are starting boys' school with limited number of students so as to produce good results, and gave hands on practical education to the students.
He added that best staff lecturers are selected for the college and University Professors would also be coming for weekly classes and seminars to address the student's academic issues and gave lectures on advance learning. Director, Admission, Mohammad Islam said that good in-house sports facilities are available for students while they can avail other sports and extra-curricular facilities available on campus.
