20 sugar sale points to be set up in Islamabad

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration will set up 20 sugar sale points in the city and rural areas of Islamabad for providing the commodity to the citizens at cheaper rates. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Amer Ali Ahmed said that the administration would set up 20 sugar sale points in all the sectors as well as in rural areas for which arrangements are being finalised.
The administration will provide sugar at these sale points at the rate of Rs 62 per kg. These points will continue to provide sugar at cheaper rate to the consumers till November, after which it is hoped that further supply of sugar will start reaching the market.
Genuine residents of the sectors will benefit from this relief for which a notebook will be maintained. Sugar will be provided on producing the identity card of the purchaser so that chance of any malpractice by the opportunists could be eliminated. Amer Ali informed that he has constituted checking teams, which will ensure supervision of arrangements at the sale points, and also ensure that the facility is not misused by opportunists.
