KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) maintained its bullish spree Thursday as its benchmark KSE-100 index closed at 41,790 points.

There was a net gain of 531 points during the day long activity with a total of 161.7 million shares worth Rs. 10.2 billion traded.

The index that was registered to gain 570 points during the first hour of trading continued to hover around the 41,700-mark throughout the session and at one point of time also hit the day's high of 41,851 points.

Engineering and oil and gas marketing sectors dominated the trading with 22.3 million and 20.1 million shares traded respectively. while of the 387 traded scrips, 289 advanced, 84 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
