The wife of a Dr Imran Farooq slain in London has made an emotional appeal for help to solve the case. ``Someone, somewhere knows something about my husband's murder,' said Shumaila Imran, who broke down in tears at the Scotland Yard press conference called to publicise the appeal for information. She said no piece of information is unimportant as police search for clues in the brazen daylight attack.
Her husband Imran Farooq was stabbed and beaten to death outside his North London home last week. He was a prominent member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, or MQM. His widow said she is confident someone has information that can help. She said she and her two children have been shocked by the loss.
``His murder a week ago has devastated me and left our family in a state of shock and disbelief,' she said. Scotland Yard investigators plan to return to the scene of the crime Thursday night looking for witnesses and clues. Counterterrorism detectives are handling the case, indicating that police believe the crime may be political.
