Selling narcotics: drug inspectors directed to launch operation against medical stores

DCO Naseem Sadiq has directed the drug inspectors in the district to launch a grand operation against the medical stores involved in selling narcotics and stern legal actions should be taken against the defaulters without any discrimination to wipe out this illegal business, which is causing to ruin the younger generation.
Presiding over a meeting discuss the anti narcotics campaign, DCO expressed his great concern over the increasing trend of use of narcotics and said that there was need of aggressive measures against the drug mafia. He stressed upon the drug inspectors to keep vigilant eye on the medical stores in their respective jurisdiction and directed that the medical stores involved in selling narcotics should not be spared at any cost.
He directed that the drug inspectors should remained in the field in lieu of sitting in offices and the positive results of their performance should be visible to the citizens. He asked them to prepare the list of legal and illegal medical stores in their respective jurisdictions and the veterinary medical stores should be detected, which were running without license. The DCO also directed the officers of Excise and Taxation Department to launch a vigorous campaign against the drug paddlers and the dens of drug mafia should be unearth to make the district drug free. The DCO informed that the anti narcotics campaign was being launched by the district administration for which affective planning and solid strategy had been devised to implement the anti narcotics steps under phase programme.
