Islamabad Police have arrested ten persons during its anti-outlaws drive involved in dacoities, theft, car snatching, drug trafficking, recovering stolen car, oil tanker, stolen petrol, arms, drugs, mobile phones and computers from their possession.
Police in different areas arrested ten persons for their involvement in dacoities, drug pushing and recovered one stolen car, over 500 liters of stolen petrol, arms, two mobile phones, 10 bottles liqueur and four computers from them, said spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Friday.
He said that Tarnol Police have arrested five persons for pilfering petrol from Dhok Paracha locality and recovered stolen petrol, and impounder the oil tanker being used for theft of petrol. Police was informed that two persons were selling petrol after stealing it from the Oil Agency owned by Musafir Khana, he added.
Following the information, SP (Saddar) Liaqat Ali Malik formed a team led by DSP (Saddar) Malik Naeem Iqbal, which raided the spot and arrested five persons red handed when they were taking out petrol from oil tankers (TLR-515, TLR-874). The detained persons were identified as Naseeb Ullah, Aziz Ullah, Syed Qasim, Bilal Khan and Gulzar Alam and case has been registered against them.
The spokesman said that the rural circle of Islamabad Police have arrested five persons involved in different crimes. On the special directions of SP (Rural) Umer Hyat, SHO Nilore Police enhanced the vigilance against the outlaws, which helped in arrest of one notorious criminal Shahid s/o Muhammad Liaqat resident of Islamabad for involvement in several dacoities and recovered two mobile phones from his possession, the spokesman said, adding that the outlaw snatched these mobiles from Muhammad Issa and his friend from Simly dam and also confessed to commit several dacoities in Murree.
Nilore police has also arrested two accused Babar and Nusrat for possessing illegal weapons. Meanwhile, Margallah police arrested an accused Zahid Ali for stealing five CPUs and also recovered a Suzuki van from him. ASI Muhammad Usman from Aabpara police station arrested a bootlegger Pervez for having ten wine bottles while Sub-Inspector Shafqat Mehmud from Industrial Area police station arrested an accused Tanvir for having 12 gram heroin.
