Court acquits Jehangir Badar in illegal assets case

A local accountability court acquitted Secretary General of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Jehangir Badar in illegal assets case. According to details, Badar had charges for acquiring illegal assets worth millions of rupees. Badar said some cases were made against him for making illegal assets and unlawful appointments, however, no allegation was proved.
Responding to a question, he said the party would continue the policy of reconciliation with other coalition partners. Those speaking of toppling the government will remain unsuccessful in their intentions, he added.
