Six more people including a doctor on Saturday fell prey to ongoing spree of targeted killings in the city. A 40-year-old doctor was killed by pillion riders, in Sector 11-1/2, Orangi Town. The victim died on the spot. Later, the body of the victim was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. He was identified as Khursheed.
In another incident, armed men, riding on two motorcycles, gunned down a man in Orangi Town. Aurangzaib, son of Tanveer, who is said to be in his early 20s, was intercepted by armed men who sprayed him with bullets, killing him on the spot.
A gang of armed assailants encircled a man and shot multiple fires at him in Kharadar, Lyari, with the result the man died on the spot. The body of the deceased was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities where he was identified as Iqbal.
35-year-old Shahid was shot dead by armed men in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Phase II. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem examination.
Two people were killed by armed men in Naval Colony within Saeedabad police limits. The police said the assailants barged into a house and opened fire on Muhammad Tanveer, 34, son of Muhammad Hanif and Muhammad Zahid, 33, son of Noor Muhammad, killing both on the spot. The culprits managed to flee. Police termed the killings as result of personal enmity. The bodies were handed over to the relatives after legal formalities. No FIR was registered till filing of this report.
