Prices move both ways on grain market

A few changes were seen on the wholesale grain and oilseeds markets on Tuesday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai quoted at Rs 2688-2700, other items maintained overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply from upcountry centres, they added.
On the grams side, grams Australia shed Rs 50 to Rs 5050-5250, grams 50x50, however, gained Rs 100 to Rs 5400 and best quality was up by Rs 200 to Rs 5600, yellow peas Canada was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3150-3300, yellow peas dal Canada lost Rs 100 to Rs 3600-3750 and Bajra low type was down by Rs 200 to Rs 2500 and good type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3000, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-white gained Rs 50 to Rs 2750-2800, other types did not move any side during the day, they said. On the seeds side, rapeseeds Nawabshah was up by Rs 50 to Rs 2075-2100 and rapeseeds cake shed Rs 70 to Rs 815-4100, they added.
