Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 67,741 tonnes of cargo including 40,847 tonnes of import cargo, 26,894 tonnes of export cargo, 3,685 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 40,847 tonnes comprised of 35,612 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,251 tonnes of general cargo; 2,984 tonnes of bulk cargo: 637 tonnes of sugar and 2,347 tonnes of yellow peas.
The total export cargo of 26,894 tonnes comprised of 22,418 tonnes of containerised cargo and 4,476 tonnes of cement. Six ships namely Chi Feng Kou, CSL Ride, APL Brisbane, Bunga Raya Satu, Emerald Coral and MOL Success sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Nine vessels viz Al-Mirqab, Fatima, Unicorn, Hyundai Tecoma, Greenwich Bridge, Albert Olden Droff, Mariner, Strong and Hyang Ro Bong are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Al-Mirqab, Mariner and Strong expected to sail on Tuesday, while four vessels viz Seaways Venture, Albert Olden Droff, Greenwich Bridge and New Legend Sun are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Six vessels viz MT Johar, Cellesta, Seaways Venture, APL Japan, Rolldock Sun and Thor Falcon due to arrive on Tuesday, while five ships namely SC Shenzhen, Bunga Raya Sepuluh, Teera Bhum, Williamsburg Bridge and Jakarta Express are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The total import cargo of 32,072 tonnes includes 16,584 tonnes of furnace oil; 1,250 tonnes of palm oil; 847 tonnes of sugar; 1,059 tonnes of general cargo; 5,252 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 7,080 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 25,524 tonnes includes 4,984 tonnes of cement and 24,540 tonnes of containerised cargo. Five vessels viz CV Maersk Utha, CV MSC Peggy, MT Polaris Stardom, MT Four Island and CV HS Wagner sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total number of seven ships namely CV HS Wagner, MV Souna Swiber, MV Sapphire, MV Atlanta Frauke, MV Orbit, MT Four Island and MT Sichem Contester are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, sugar, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Six vessels viz Golden Dominace, Al-Soor-II, St Martin, Nedlloyd Hudson, Sichem Marseille and Al-Sabahia carrying chemicals, HSD oil, LPG, containers, MEG and containers are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of four ships namely CV Nedlloyd Hudson, CV Al-Sabahia, MT Sichem Marseille and MT Al-Soor-II carrying containers, furnace oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Container vessel viz CV MSC Aurelie due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more ships namely CV Ikaruga, CV CMA CGM Jade and MT Framyrah with containers and furnace oil are due to arrive on Wednesday.
