30 Sep, 2010

On this auspicious occasion of 80th National Day of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I on behalf of Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, its allied departments and its staff, present my heartiest felicitation to The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Prime Minster and Minister of Interior Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and to whole Saudi nation.
Dear Brethren, Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad celebrates their national day to mark the eventful day when late King Abdul Aziz Bin Abdur Rehman Al-Saud united the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since that day of its formation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is engaged in serving the Muslim Ummah and working for its unity and prosperity.
All the Saudi Kings starting from Founder of Saudi nation to Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud value great importance to time tested brotherly relationships exist between the Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud (May Allah Give Him Long Life) has always helped and stood by his Pakistani brethren through hard times and difficulties.
On occasion of recent floods in Pakistan, which has caused heavy devastation the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has issued royal decree for formation of 'King Abdullah International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Activities' not only to bring improvement in the efforts for the betterment of our religion, Ummah and the whole humanity but to bring peace and harmony, tolerance, and development of science and technology, and promoting learning and literacy in entire world.
The purpose behind formation of this Foundation is to ensure continuity of charity and humanitarian activities and protection to human rights by the Kingdom. This step by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques reflects his deep concern for the betterment of our religion, nation, Muslim Ummah, Arab world and entire humanity.
Following the instruction of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Embassy in Pakistan has left no stone unturned in helping their flood affected brothers in Pakistan. Saudi Embassy is with Pakistani people till the end of this time of difficulty and grief, Insha Allah.
Due to current floods in Pakistan, Saudi Embassy in Pakistan has decided to cancel its national day celebration to show its concern and solidarity towards the flood affectees in Pakistan and has funded the relief work instead.
Alalh Subha wa ta'ala says in Surah Al Baqra (Ayah 155-157) 'And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return. They are those on whom are the Salawat (ie blessings, etc) (ie who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.'
We pray to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'alla to grant them with patience and courage Ameen. Undoubtedly, the disaster is large scale and massive and it is humanly impossible for any single country to deal with it. But at the same time we have this staunch faith that by the Grace of Allah, the affected people will overcome this difficult time. Saudi people have faith in their brave brethren that they will rise again to the occasion because they know that Pakistanis are a brave and courageous nation and have all the capabilities to deal this calamity. During this period of grief and difficulty, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan.
I am extremely pleased to state that Pakistan- Saudi Arabia Relations have been extremely strong, intimate and exemplary through all the regimes starting from the days of founders of both the nations (Founder of the Kingdom King Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah) to present days of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
I am extremely grateful to the efforts and co-operation by all the departments of Government of Pakistan extended to us to facilitate the relief work done by the Saudi government. At the end, I humbly present best wishes to people of Pakistan and prey for their progress and prosperity. May Allah Protect Them Against All The Hardships And Difficulties.
