Summit stresses need for checking brain drain

The discussions and presentations delivered during the two-day summit on "Leadership Focus People Development for Peak Performance" which concluded here on Friday stressed the need for checking brain drain from the country. The 2nd Lahore Management and Human Resource Development (HRD) summit was organised by Nutshell Forum and Abacus Consulting in collaboration with Pakistan Society for Human Resource Management.
Conference Chairman and Founder Bahrain Society for Training and Development Dr Ebrahim Khalifa Al Dossary delivered presentation on leadership Styles and its Effects on Corporate Culture that revolved around the facts that how a leader could influence his team to get maximum outcomes. He said the human capital is a key to business success and emphasised the need for developing Human resource for sustainable economic growth.
Karachi School for Business and Leadership Dean, and Strategic Affiliates of Cambridge Judge Business School Robert Wheeler III, CEO, HUBCO and Board Member, Kot Addu Power Company Limited Vince Harris, Head of Sub Region - Gulf and Pakistan, Nokia Siemens Network Syed Veqar-ul-Islam and President, Bank Alfalah Limited Sirajuddin Aziz also spoke on the occasion and shared their views on the topic.
A panel discussion on the topic titled "Rethinking Leadership and the Future of Work: Trends, Challenges & Opportunities" was also held during the third session of the conference. Over 400 professionals from Lahore, Islamabad and other parts of the country attended the event.
