Asma vows to serve bar members

Presidential candidate for Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Asma Jahangir has vowed to serve the bar members irrespective of their political affiliation. While speaking at a reception Asma said "To serve lawyers is my manifesto."
Asma said she always took bold and independent stance and spent whole life struggling against dictatorship and establishment in the country. She said negative propaganda could not change her stance and determination. Tariq Mehmood said Asma could represent the legal fraternity effectively in and outside the country as well.
Prominent lawyers and bar representatives attended the reception and expressed their full support to Ms Jahangir.
Former presidents Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Ali Ahmad Kurd and former Justice Tariq Mehmood, Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Senator Kazim Khan, Ali Sibtain Fazli, SM Masood, Mali Abdul Wahid, Zafar Iqbal Klanoori, Atir Mehmood, Salman Akram Raja, Farooq Amjad Mir, Muzammil Akhter Shabbir, Shahid Karim, Talib Rizvi, Azam Nazir Tarar, Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, Jahangir A Jhoja, Azar Latif, Pir S.A Rasheed, Malik Muhammad Hussain, Sarfraz Ahmad Cheema, Sumaira Awan, Roshan Ara and Firdous Imtiaz also attended the reception.
