Pakistan and UAE discuss extradition treaty

Pakistan and United Arab Emirates on Tuesday discussed strategy to finalise signing of extradition treaty between them for exchange of prisoners. The matter was discussed between Minister for Interior A. Rehman Malik and his UAE counterpart Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayd Al Nahyan who called on the former here.
During the meeting, UAE agreed to extend deadline, allowing Pakistanis to enter in UAE on manual passports, on the request of the interior minister. The two sides discussed matters of mutual interests and problems being faced by the Pakistani community in UAE. Malik said Pakistan gives due respect to its cordial ties with UAE and is resolved to cement these ties in future. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayd Al Nahyan invited the minister to visit UAE that was accepted by the latter.
