Chairman All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Gohar Ejaz has appreciated the management of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) for efficiently handling the Annual Turn Around (ATA) of gas field in record minimum time and saving textile industry's productive hours.
He said that Managing Director SNGPL, Abdul Rasheed Lone, Co-ordinator on Gas Load Management, Rehan Nawaz and General Manger Corporate Sales, Chaudhry Masood besides the technical staff deserve appreciation for their efforts in this regard. Gohar said the SNGPL management has efficiently completed ATA of the gas fields including Qadirpur Gas Field and Dakni Gas Field in record time of three to four days against announced 10-14 days closure of gas fields.
It has not only ensured minimum disturbance to the industry on gas supply to the production units but also help increase supply to meet gas demand in winter. According to him, the SNGPL efficiency has saved the textile industry from an estimated production loss of $300 million.
He expressed the hope that the SNGPL management would not only share the future loadshedding plan with industry during winter but it would also ensure an equitable, transparent and appropriate use of natural resource. He also underlined the importance of gas conversation drive to save the natural resource for productive use by the industry for creating employment and earning foreign exchange for the country.
