Two PAF AVMs promoted

Air Vice Marshals Syed Athar Hussain Bukhari and Asim Suleiman have been promoted to the rank of Air Marshal. Air Marshal Syed Athar Hussain Bukhari was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force in 1978 in GD (P) Branch. He is an accomplished fighter pilot, who is a qualified flying instructor and a graduate of Combat Commanders' School.
His career has encompassed a wide range of operational, training and command assignments. He has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an Operational PAF Base. He has qualified National War Course from NDU Washington, Armed Forces War Course from NDU Islamabad and Command and Staff Course from Iran. He is recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat.
Air Marshal Asim Suleiman was commissioned in 1978 in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force. He is a proficient fighter pilot and has served as an instructor pilot in an Operational Conversion Unit and the coveted Combat Commanders' School. He has commanded a fighter squadron and an Operational PAF Base. Air Marshal Asim Suleiman is a graduate of Defence Service Staff College, Dhaka and National Defence University, Islamabad. He holds a Master degree in Strategic Studies. He has been decorated with Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Basalat and Imtiazi Sanad.-PR
