Shanghai copper steadies

Shanghai copper futures were steady on Friday following a week-long holiday, during which London copper surged to its highest in more than two years. Benchmark third-month Shanghai copper ended the day at 60,610 yuan a tonne from 60,600 yuan at the close last Thursday. Shanghai zinc rose 0.3 percent to 17,930 yuan, while aluminium rose 0.7 percent to 15,975 yuan.
