The newly-appointed Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau, former Justice Deedar Hussain Shah took charge of his office and chaired a high-level meeting at the NAB HQ, on Saturday. Deedar in his maiden meeting stated that he will ensure across the board accountability to eliminate corruption and nepotism from the society.
The NAB chief directed the high officials of the Accountability Bureau to take all necessary steps to ensure across the board accountability. The high level meeting of the NAB Board reviewed the cases pending in the accountability courts in the country, besides discussing administrative matters of the Bureau at length.
Addressing NAB officials, Justice Deedar expressed his resolve to leave no stone unturned for elimination of corruption, adding that even-handed and across the board accountability is imperative to put the country on the right path. He said he will be available round-the-clock and there will be no restrictions on meeting him if anybody so desires. Justice Deedar urged his team members to make collective efforts to attain the desired goals of the Accountability Ordinance.
