Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan and their partner stores held special ceremonies in which 22 lakh rupees collected for flood relief were presented by cheques to the respective trusts involved. Colgate-Palmolive joined hands with 36 large superstores in various parts of the country to start a relief initiative for flood affectees.
Consumers shopped at the partner stores where specific Colgate-Palmolive products reserved a certain percentage of the retail price for flood relief. Bit-by-bit, small amounts were collected and reached 22 lakhs, which were given in the form of donations for flood affected people.
Partner stores in Karachi included Imtiaz Store, Imtiaz Supermarket, Naheed Super-market, Agha's Supermarket, Motta's Supermarket, Bin Malik Superstore, Haji's Superstore, Paradise Supermarket, and Metro Cash& Carry. Places in Lahore included Sawera Store (Shadman), Sawera Store (Wapda Town), Akbari Superstore, Akbari Discount Store, Al-Fatah Departmental Store, Al-Fatah Store (D.H.A.), Jalal Sons, Rainbow Cash and Carry, Sun Star Departmental Store, H.K.B., Rahim Store, Rahat Store, Metro Cash and Carry. From Multan, Prince Departmental Store, Trend Departmental Store, E-mart Departmental Store; and from Gujranwala, Rana Umer Store, Al-Noor Store and Win Mart. Faisalabad stores included Al-Fatah Store, S.B. Store, Rachna Store, and in Islamabad, Best Price, Sauda Sulf, Cosco Cash and Carry, Happy Store, ORO Mart, and Every day Mart were involved.-PR
