Wah engineering becomes: HEC recognised college

Wah Engineering College (WEC) is a constituent college of University of Wah and has been recognised by HEC/chartered by the Government of Punjab. The WEC has a unique status due to its location in the hub of industrial complex, which enables the students to visit the site of actualisation of concepts that they study in classroom.
POF administration has allowed the students of the College to avail the testing facilities at POF Lab. Not only they have been allowed to visit various testing and production facilities of POF but also perform documented/evaluated practical under supervision of college faculty. Internship in defence production establishment is also arranged for the students of the WEC. The college provided scholarship to 65 students who took 1st/2nd position during last semester.
Initially, WEC launched under graduate programme in two disciplines ie Electronic, Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering, besides Chemical and Civil Engineering disciplines are being launched in fall Semester 2010-11. 262 students graduated from this college since its inception in 2004.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chairman POF Board has approved postgraduate programme in Ph.D and Ms with Electrical, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering w.e.f. March'2010. The accreditation by Pakistan Engineering Council is under process and hopefully this process will be soon completed.-PR
