US MIDDAY: soya, corn and wheat up

15 Oct, 2010

Soyabean and corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade were higher early on Thursday as a weaker dollar helped them resume their upward march after a profit-taking setback on Wednesday. Soyabeans also drew fundamental support from fresh sales of US soyabeans to China, and a larger-than-expected US September crush estimate from the National Oilseed Processors Association.
CBOT wheat followed corn and soyabeans higher. CBOT trends at 10:22 am CDT (1522 GMT) on Thursday: December wheat up 2-1/4 cents at $7.05 a bushel. December corn up 9 cents at $5.78-1/4 a bushel. November soyabeans up 16-1/2 cents at $11.93 a bushel; January up 16 at $12.03.
