Every step to be taken to restore peace: Rehman

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday said every step would be taken to maintain law and order in the metropolis. The Interior Minister was talking to media after meeting with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), leaders at MQM's head quarter at Azizabad here.
He said the friendship of MQM and PPP would continue for betterment of people and prosperity of the country. He also sympathised with the bereaved families of the victims of recent violence. Rehman Malik said all those people who lost their lives in violent incidents were Pakistani and indiscriminate and strict action will be taken against culprits. The Interior Minister said all political forces are united against terrorism and all are determined to eliminate terrorism with full force.
Rehman Malik also saluted the Pakistan Army for taking action against terrorists. He said all those culprits who are involved in target killings, will be arrested and they will also be exposed before the public. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Convenor MQM Rabita Committee, Dr Farooq Sattar thanked the Interior Minister for visiting the Mine Zeero.
Dr Farooq Sattar said we have clearly conveyed our point of view to Rehman Malik. He said we have also told the Interior Minister that what should be done to stop violent incidents. The MQM leader said the voters of Orangi Town have expressed their support in the by-election to PS-94, through the power of ballot. President Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Karachi Division, Syed Najmi Alam and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)leaders, Baber Ghauri, Adil Siddiqi and Raza Haroon were also present on the occasion.
