Makro, in collaboration with Sindh government, is selling sugar at Rs 61/kg regardless of the crisis of the commodity. This approach is aimed at keeping the market safe from manipulators who are openly selling it at more than Rs 80/kg in the local market.
According to a press release, Makro sold out 440 tons of huge quantity of sugar since August in Karachi and Lahore. Despite the prevailing economic conditions in the country and ever-rising inflationary indicators, stores like Makro are offering a wide range of commodities under one roof with affordability and convenience. The company offers discount on sale of even a single unit. This attracts end consumers, mostly families, to the stores. Makro has also introduced its own brands of electronics, stationary, beverages and kitchen items. It also offers meat products at outlets at fairly reasonable prices.-PR
