The Punjab Minister for Zakat and Ushr, Malik Nadeem Kamran, has directed the Vocational Training Council to submit the details of the funds spent so far on technical education of deserving students at more than 140 training institutes of the province.
He issued these directions while presiding over a departmental meeting here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Secretary Zakat and Ushr Karim Baksh Abid, Deputy Administer Zakat Rana Muhammad Sajjad and other senior officers of the department.
Provincial minister asked Vocational Training Council to send its demands for the year 2010-11 at the earliest in order to get the remaining 25 percent funds so that these demands could be sent to Central Zakat Council. He further directed the council to ensure the transparent distribution of funds for the needy and poor students of vocational training institutes and submit a detailed report in this regard within a week positively.
