In continuation to the development of community, we at PKABB celebrated World Heart Day on September 28, 2010 in collaboration with Pakistan Cardiac Society, World Heart Federation and PharmEvo. The main purpose of this event was to bring the awareness of workplace wellness ie to take the responsibility for our own heart health!
Leading cardiologists of country participated and addressed the audience of PKABB employees in this awareness session. The main purpose was to: 1 - Ensure that our employees have longer and better lives through the prevention and control of heart disease and stroke. 2 - A healthy workforce can contribute to the overall health of a business in many ways, a - Increased productivity, b - Reduced absenteeism rates, c - Lower medical costs, d - Fewer workplace injuries, e - Improved morale and loyalty, f - Enhanced staff retention.
