Why opposing Benazir monument?

22 Oct, 2010

Those, who are unsuccessfully trying to limit Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto only to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), they are sadly mistaken. They are forgetting the fact that ZAB as well as BB, both were the prime ministers of Pakistan and they had rendered valuable services to the nation without any discrimination by enhancing its image internationally.
Their services were not limited only to their party or any one province. Being "national heroes", their services must be acknowledged by the whole nation and not only by PPP or one province.
Those, who are opposing the erection of monument at Islamabad of BB, are in fact trying to limit our national leader to only one party for their vested interests. Such efforts must be condemned at all levels. Tomorrow, such people would claim since Quaid-i-Azam and Liaquat Ali Khan, both belonged to Pakistan Muslim League, therefore, their monuments should not be erected by the government. Very sad!
