Tractors, crops for Rabi season: campaign for disbursement of production loans begins

Punjab Minister for Revenue Haji Muhammad Ishaq has said that the campaign for disbursement of production loans for tractors and crops for the Rabi season 2010-11 through One Window Operation has been started. He said that farmers holding 25 acres of irrigated land or 50 acres Barani land are eligible for grant of production loans.
The Minister said that the maximum limit of production loan is two lakh rupees and these loans would be distributed among the farmers of the province with the collaboration of Zarai Taraqiati Bank.
He further said that Qanungoi circle will be declared as focal point for One Window Operation and all Patwaris (along with record), Qanungos and Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars will remain present on every Monday at the One Window Centres to complete the process on the same day. He said that sufficient number of Agricultural Pass Books would be arranged by the Postal Authorities and made available at these centres. He said that applications for tractors loans will also be received during One Window Operation.
The Executive District Officer (Revenue), District Officer (Revenue) and Deputy District Officer (Revenue) will supervise this operation closely and effectively for the successful operation of the campaign. He said that complaint cells have also been established in the offices of DCOs of all districts to remove the grievances of the farmers and weekly progress report regarding disbursement of production loans will be submitted by the DCOs and ZTBL to the Relief and Crisis Management Department on each Thursday without fail for apprising the Chief Minister of the progress of the campaign. He said that correctness and veracity of Pass Books will be strictly ensured.
