HSSC Part-II annual exams results announced

Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate Karachi (BIEK), Professor Agha Akber Mirza on Tuesday announced results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), Part-II annual examinations 2010 of humanities (regular, private and special candidates) groups.
As per statistics, 11, 584 regular candidates were registered, 11, 309 appeared in the examination and 4, 166 were declared pass. Pass percentage remained 36.84pc. He said 1, 261 male regular students were registered, 1, 220 appeared and 327 have successfully passed the exams. Pass percentage of male regular candidates remained 26.80pc. However, 10, 323 female regular students were registered for the examination, 10, 089 appeared and 3, 839 passed the exam. Pass percentage of female regular students was stood at 38.05pc, the controller examination said.
The gazette shows that six male and 174 female had A-grade, 45 male and 824 female got B-grade, 124 male and 1, 491 female received C-grade, 127 male and 1, 197 female obtained D-grade while 25 male and 146 female candidates passed their exams with E-grade. Only two cases of unfair means were reported, he said. Hafiza Sumaiya Ilyas daughter of Muhammad Ilyas, bearing roll number 342493 bagged first position among the regular candidates. She was the student of Iqra Huffaz Girls Science/Arts College, Block-B, North Nazimabad. Hafiza Sumaiya obtained 909 marks out of total 1100 with 82.63 percent.
Aiman Irfan daughter of Muhammad Irfan, student of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women, bearing roll number 336145, clinched second position. She obtained 908 marks and 82.54 percent. Anam Zia daughter of Zia-ul- Hasan, bearing roll number 344102, stood third in the annual examination. She was the student of DA Degree College for Women, Phase VIII, DHA.
On the other hand, 14, 247 private candidates were registered for the annual examinations and 13, 481 appeared while 6, 118 students passed the exams. The overall pass percentage of private candidates remained 45.38 percent, he said. Further results show that 6, 639 male private candidates registered for the examinations, 6, 170 appeared and 2, 789 have passed the exams. The overall pass percentage of male private students stood 45.20 percent, the controller said.
As many as 7, 608 female private candidates were enrolled, 7, 311 appeared and 3, 329 passed the exams. Pass percentage was 45.53 percent, he said, adding that 35 cases of unfair means were reported during and after the examinations. He said female bagged A-1 grade while no male candidate had A-1 grade. He said 40 male and 85 female students had A-grade, 603 male and 705 female B-grade, 1, 021 male and 1, 329 female C-grade, 1, 014 male and 1, 182 female, D-grade and 111 male and 26 female candidates got E-grade in the annual examination.
Hafiza Sana Hussain daughter of Syed Hussain, bearing roll number 261703 secured first position. She had got 896 marks out of total 1100 and 81.45 percent. Rabiya Amin daughter of Muhammad Amin, bearing roll number 266231 clinched second position with 891 marks and 81 percent. Rimsha Khan daughter of Abrar Khan, roll number 263745 got third position. She scored 869 marks with 79 percent.
The controller said 85 special candidates registered for the annual examinations, 83 appeared and all of them successfully passed the exams. The overall percentage remained 100 percent, he added. He said 56 special male candidates registered, 55 appeared and all of them have passed the examination, the controller further said. "Beside this, 29 special female students were enrolled, 28 appeared in the exams and all of them managed to pass the annual examination," he said
He said the results show that nine male and 11 female had A-1 grade, 28 male and 12 female A-grade, 17 male and five female B-grades and only one male student had got C-grade in the exams. Malik Muhammad Waqas son of Ghazanfar Ali Zahid Awan, bearing roll number 361005, bagged first position with total 996 marks and 90.55 pc. He was student of IDA-RIEU College for deaf and blind. Amna Pervez daughter of Pervez Ahmed Bajwa, roll number 361156, got second position with 984 marks and 89.45 percent. She was student of DEWA Higher Secondary School (HSS), Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Iqra Khalid daughter of Malik Khalid Hussain, having roll number 361159, got third position. She also belongs to DEWA HSS. She received 976 marks with 88.73 percent.
