DIG Islamabad awarded for his role against terrorists

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Bani Amin was awarded prize for his meritorious services in fight against terrorists and other criminals. The special prize was formally awarded to him by Minister for Interior Rehman Malik as an acknowledgement to his extraordinary performance, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police on Tuesday.
He said that to recognise his resolute and exceptional services in the larger interests of the general public, DIG Bani Amin was also conferred on Sitara-i-Imtiaz by President Asif Ali Zardari. The officer has already been decorated with President (PPM) Police Medal and Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) on gallantry services.
DIG Bani Amin has contributed a lot for the welfare of the police by ensuring merit and initiating various steps for the community policing, besides maintaining law and order in the challenging situations, the spokesman said. The incessant terrorist's attack had created a scary scenario in Islamabad. Bani Amin Khan, as DIG (Operations) accepted the challenge and constituted teams to unearth and put an end to the barbaric activities of the extremists.
His unremitting ingenuous efforts bore fruit, as the terrorists involved in slaughtering and kidnappings of security personnel along with the mastermind and facilitator of Special Branch blast were finally arrested, which helped a lot in unearthing the whole network of nefarious terrorists operating in Islamabad.
