Chilean firm to explore investment scope in various sectors

Leader of Chilean delegation and Chairman Luksic Group, Andronico Luksic has said that his group will explore possibilities of making maximum investment and having cooperation with Government in various sectors during the current visit.
He was talking to Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah during a meeting at his office here on Wednesday. Advisor to Prime Minister on Investment and Chairman Board of Investment (BoI) Saleem Mandviwala and other senior government officials were also present on the occasion.
Luksic suggested Pakistan to keep Latin American countries in focus to attracting investment and said that upon his return he would request Chilean Government to open its Embassy in Pakistan to further enhance economic ties.
He pointed out that his group was the second biggest financial institution with total assets in excess of 34 billion dollars. Luksic thanked the Finance Minister and others for the information provided with regard to investment potentials in Sindh.
Earlier, Murad Ali Shah informed the visiting delegation about the investment prospects in Sindh for potential foreign investors and entrepreneur.
Appraising the delegation members of the investment prospects in Sindh, he said Sindh was very rich in natural resources and the present government will extend every possible assistance and help to investors. Prospect for investment in projects like irrigation, coal, hydropower, mining, can be very fruitful and profitable, he added. He said the government would ensure to provide full security to foreign nationals, working on any project in Sindh.
